ABSTRACT
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the resuscitation of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest had been a challenging effort. Being an already multifaceted process during regular scenarios, the pandemic made the choreography of resuscitation nearly impossible or, at the very least, fraught with peril. We describe a series of COVID-19 cases involving cardiac arrest from profound hypoxia, cardiac arrhythmias, and septic shock. This chapter will further discuss the historical evolution of resuscitation, unique safety challenges during the pandemic, outcomes, the increase of in-hospital and out-of-hospital arrests, and inadequacies in post-arrest care. © 2021 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
